Retired adults
"Popeye's Fickle Gal, Olive Oil" came to us from Arkansas in 2010. She is very bossy, outgoing, and quite the entertainer! She was a fantastic mama in her time, But has been retired for many years. Olive has been instrumental in coaching the other ladies through childbirth and motherhood. She will forever be excited and involved with the puppies. Olive will live out the rest of her days as Queen of our castle.
"Sullivan's Juju in Da' Bayou" came to us from Louisiana in 2018. She is playful and funny, and loves to be the center of attention. Juju retired after blessing us with a few very special babies. She is still here with us, melting the hearts of everyone she meets!
On occasion, we have an adult who retires early. Due to health, personality or behavioral traits, we feel their needs are not being met here, and make the painful decision to place them in pet homes. Setting aside our feelings and doing what is best for our dogs is not always easy, however these kids are absolutely thriving with the families we chose. We couldn't be happier for them! although they aren't living with us, they will ALWAYS be Brown Sugar Bostons! Our site would be incomplete without a section dedicated to them. We love you FURever!!!!
"The Infamous Winston Von Wretched" came to us from Louisiana in 2014. He is a gentle soul and was anxious in our pack. Winston struggled to bond with the other dogs, and with us! We felt he would be better suited in a less chaotic environment where he could be the center of attention and live stress free! We found Winston a nice couple, who later had a human child that became Winston's best friend. We are so happy for you, buddy!!!
"The Delicious Frankie Leroux Darling" came to us from Las Vegas in 2018. She is calm, quiet, and gentle, and a bit timid for our wild pack. After having a couple of litters, she got an early retirement and was placed in the BEST HOME ON EARTH! It was very hard to let her go, she is such a charmer! But we knew she would have a happily ever after with her amazing family, so we let her go to them. We have so much love for this girl!!!
"Apple Is Rotten To The Core" came to us from California in 2019. She is very special to us because she is the grand daughter of or first two Bostons, Jasper and Lily! Apple had several litters, and was a wonderful mama, but she fell madly in love with my sister and the two could not be seperated! it is wonderful to be able to see Apple, and spend time together. She is an extended part of our Brown Sugar family <3
"The Mischievous Maddox Von Mayhem" came to us from Pennsylvania in 2016, He is silly, playful, and friendly. This goofy guy has produced many, many gorgeous babies over the years, but earned his retirement in 2022 and is now enjoying the lap of luxury with his lovely new owner. We miss him, but we are so happy he gets to be someone's whole universe!
